Brazil P&I has a strong approach with local authorities and the shipping industry, supporting the development of vessels operations in Brazil, in a collaborative work to reduce loss of life, risks to the environment and the improvement of operations at the ports.
The road forum "Casualties and Facts of Navigation and the P&I Cover" brings the P&I concept and knowledge to the ports in Brazil, strengthening the relationship between authorities, operators, agents and loss adjusters, Belem, São Luís, Paranagua and Salvador are examples of ports that have received the road forum so far.
Brazil P&I also promote and support events such as the IG-IMO-IOPC seminar in Rio/2019, the Maritime Lawyers Association Congress and the Porto & Mar forum for the development of the Port of Santos.
Our MD Mauro Sammarco is the current Chairman of the Santos Trade Association (ACS), which represents the main traders, terminals, owners and agents operating at the port of Santos, the largest in the world's southern hemisphere. An association with 150 years, declared National Public Interest, which hosted the visit of the last 8 Presidents of Brazil, along with several other important figures.
